Collagen Induction Therapy
Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) is a medical beauty treatment using micro-needle procedures which are a cylindrical shaped drum studded roller with multiple ultra-fine needles to create microscopic holes or tiny dermal punctures in the skin. This helps to stimulate new tissue regeneration, elastin and natural production of collagen fibres (neo-collagenesis). It also forms new capillaries for improved blood supply (neo-angiogenesis) and allows for better penetration of active skincare ingredients (up to 200 times more product delivery). Following a course of micro-needling, the skin begins to tighten up under the activation of new collagen and improved circulation, giving you a more youthful smooth skin. The device used for micro-needling is a Micro-Needle Roller, which contains 192 micro-sized needle points spaced equally apart. These micro-needles are very short in length and only affect the superficial layers of the skin. Micro-needle Rollers penetrating above 1.5mm are only used in salon treatments only. It is recommended to use the longer needles in clinic treatments and then complement it with a home care Micro-needle Roller. It is an affordable alternative to medical anti-ageing treatments. Using the Micro-needle Roller at least once a week can achieve noticeable results in collagen induction. What are…
